Austin Area 4th of July Firework Celebrations

Are you looking for fireworks celebrations this Fourth of July? From Austin to Georgetown, we’ve provided a few area events to consider throughout the Austin and Williamson County area.

Austin

Promoted as Central Texas’ Largest Fireworks Show, Austin is hosting its free July 4 celebration downtown, which includes a live performance by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Grab your lawn chairs and some cool drinks, as once again this event will be taking place at Auditorium Shores at Town Lake Metropolitan Park in downtown Austin, attendees can expect food and drink vendors as well as local arts and crafts vendors. 4-10:30 p.m. Free. 900 W. Cedar Park

Pack up family and meet up with some friends at Cedar Park’s Fourth of July Celebration. This event will be held at Elizabeth Milburn Park from 5-11:30 p.m. and includes fireworks, music and food trucks. The fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m., and a movie in the park, “The Sandlot,” will play following the fireworks. Free. Georgetown

Hosted by the local Sertoma Club’s, the Georgetown annual fourth of July celebrations will be scaled down to only include fireworks in San Gabriel Park. This decision was made for the safety of everyone in the Georgetown community, according to its website. 9:15 p.m. Free. San Gabriel Park, 445 E. Morrow St., Georgetown. www.gtxsertoma.org

Leander

Leander’s annual Liberty Fest is back! This year’s July 4th free celebration will include fireworks, vendors, balloon artists, face painters, henna and stilt walkers. The city’s Great Lawn on Lakewood Park will host the event. The park will open at 2 p.m., and the first band will play at 5 p.m. Buses will pick up attendees at nearby parking lots and drop them off at the park. 2-10:30 p.m. Free. Round Rock

The Sertoma Independence Day Parade and Frontier Days celebration will take place July 3 with a full day of activities, including a parade, a carnival, live music and fireworks. 8:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Free. Hutto

The City of Hutto welcomes the third annual 4th of July Celebration on Sunday, July 4 from 4:30-9:30 PM at Brushy Creek Amphitheater! Bring the family for live music, food trucks, kids activities and FIREWORKS! This is FREE to attend, but tickets are required. Entertainment includes The Peterson Brothers, Mia Garcia, and more!
